Lito Atienza - Manila's Own Running For Mayor

When Lito Atienza mentioned that he would leave the Cabinet in order to run for Manila Mayor in the upcoming elections, voters were certainly gifted with a great choice for the leader of the city. Lito Atienza is certainly a staple in Philippine politics and is gifted with a formidable family background. Many of his relatives are in themselves prominent members of the history of Philippine politics. With this, it could be rightfully said that Lito is truly the best choice for the post of Manila Mayor.

The father of Lito Atienza, Jose Atienza Sr, or Pepe was the chief of the Department of Public Services. He was a distinguished public servant who would even get up in the middle of the night just to help troubled neighbors. His uncle, Herminigildo Atienza, also served as appointed Manila Mayor himself right after the Manila achieved liberation after the war. He was an amazing mayor who was considered as one of the stalwart influences in the founding of the legendary Liberal Party of Philippine politics.

Lito Atienza grew up in a devastated city of Manila that was but a bunch of ruins, walked through the neighborhoods that was but a collection of debris and even swam on the waters of Manila Bay. He would make a great Manila Mayor because he grew up in the city in which he aspires to lead. He envisioned that he would eventually put his hat into Philippine politics, elevate the city of Manila into a greatness which will make the ashes of the war a mere afterthought. By running for Manila mayor, he can now engage in his dream task of trying to place Manila back to the pedestal where it belongs.

Lito Atienza is certainly highly competent to become Manila Mayor. He finished his primary and secondary education in Ateneo de Manila University and completed a Bachelor's degree in Architecture from the University of Santo Tomas. Despite the fact that their family was monetarily rich, they were hardworking which enabled Lito to enter into the top schools. The Atienza family exhibited faithfulness and feared God properly. These family values and religious aspects are certainly very important for the position of public servant in Philippine politics.

Definitely best qualification of Lito Atienza is his bespectacled good name. His father Pepe firmly believed that no wealth could ever be at par with the heritage of good name backed up with a good education. Lito also had many friends and constantly persevered in order to reach his goals. He would take manual labor jobs and even rode along classmates with cars without shame because he firmly believed in hard work as the bridge to our goals.

Lito Atienza would certainly add to his colored history in his participation in Philippine politics by running for mayor. Being the Manila Mayor would be most revering for him and for the city of Manila given his heritage with the place. He lived not only his life here, but also lived with his family in the city which he envisions to prosper. If chosen with the honor, it will truly be for everyone's benefit if we give him a chance to fulfill his ambitions of the city for us.

Lito Atienza is the most deserving to become Manila's mayor. He grew from a revered family in Philippine politics and already has vast experience himself as a politician. If elected, he would be living out his dream of becoming Manila Mayor, and leading the city to success. The inhabitants of the city would certainly be rewarded if they decide to make him the next mayor.

Lito Atienza - Saving Lives Through The Home Of The Angels

Lito Atienza is currently a part of the list of prospects who will participate in the elections for Manila mayor. These Manila elections, yet again, would be a test of the aptitude of the discernment of the electorate to pick a candidate who is worthy of the demanding needs of the colorful city. In terms of qualifications, maybe there is no one else who conforms to the post more other than Lito Atienza. And amidst those who will compete for mayor in the Manila elections, no one probably has helped more.

In 1992, even as a Vice-Mayor, Lito Atienza established with his wife Beng the "Home for the Angels," a child care center for abandoned and abused infants. He produced this out of his downright belief that nobody should feel unwanted. He also acknowledges that a few considerations could forcefully separate a parent from his child and this is why he created this shelter for them. The center allows for nutrition and all the love which these children could ever need.

This center is the image of the good heart of Lito Atienza. This is what voters should be aware of during the Manila elections. To a certain sense, we are all children of the city, needing someone like Lito Atienza to guide us in a city in which himself saw burnt to ashes and which he wants to see rise again to elusive prominence. Such deeds of great magnitude should not be disregarded and should be at the centerpiece during the elections for Manila Mayor.

It would be virtuously good if voters during the elections for Manila mayor would pick someone who was vocally against abortion. The stance of Lito Atienza as one of the fathers of Home for the Angels has consistently been that abortion is the ultimate child abuse and must be stopped at all costs. The Home of the Angels is a center meant to be action oriented and serves as the back up solution to anti-life challenges. It is a concrete symbol and source of hope at the same time for many people.

During these Manila elections, let us not forget that the Home for the Angels has been a uniform crisis home for abortion survivors and has assisted many neglected, abused and exploited infants ever since it was founded fourteen years ago. It has helped many victims and expected victims have a new set of lives and all of these is due to the merciful heart of Lito Atienza. The elections for Manila mayor would surely be a half-baked race if it did not let in a choice such as him. The post of Manila mayor is a position of action coupled with great promises.

A total of 301 babies were assisted and accepted for case management and crisis intervention from year 1996 to the present and a total of 4,371 men, women and teenagers were assisted and referred through crisis intervention by phone and walk-in referrals from 2006 to the present in the center. A total of 356 students and private individuals were attended to and furnished with Respect for Life Orientation while a total of 314 children ages 0-6 years old for Early childhood care and Development were served in alternative Day Care services through the Learn and Play Outreach Program. These are works of a man who surely deserves to succeed in the Manila elections. In the elections for Manila Mayor, these are efforts of a man that ought be up there when we use our judgment.

Lito Atienza is one of the most upright citizens of our country. It is with such great enthusiasm that the electorate welcomes him for the Manila elections. During these elections for Manila mayor, his deeds of heroism towards our society's forgotten individuals will not be forgotten. The Home For The Angels is an establishment which he founded in order to share his vision that no individual should be deprived of care and love.
